Fern: Kyoto, Japan; I'm Fern - from New Zealand but spending the year as an exchange student in Japan. I live in an International dorm with communal kitchens, and the sights and smells of so many nationalities cooking up all sort of oddities (and making do with ingredients we can find here in Japan!) has inspired me to be more creative with my cooking ^^
